Lemay Avenue will host a steady stream of construction projects starting next week and lasting into the fall, eventually bringing a new pedestrian/bicycle crossing, concrete repairs and utility line work to the Fort Collins thoroughfare.
The first project is a new pedestrian and bicycle crossing at Lemay and Columbia Road/Parkwood Drive. Work on that project begins March 1.
Other upcoming projects include:
- Concrete repairs and paving on Lemay from Riverside Avenue to Horsetooth Road
- Work on stormwater lines and water lines
- Replacement of a water line and repaving of Brookwood Drive from Parkwood to Stuart Street (planned to take place from late summer through early fall)
Stretches of Lemay will experience various lane closures during construction, including a full closure between Drake Road and Columbia Road on March 13-21 and directional closures during paving later in 2021.
Residents who have questions about the upcoming projects can email firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information about these projects, visit fcgov.com/lemay2021.
An unrelated project later this year will involve construction of a new viaduct at Lemay and Vine Drive to ease congestion related to train traffic. Find more details about that project, at fcgov.com/engineering/vine-lemay.
