Juvenile robbed at gunpoint in Jefferson County, deputies say; suspects remain at-large

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. – Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are asking for your help after a juvenile was robbed at gunpoint early Thursday evening.

The armed robbery happened in the 10200 block of West Powers Avenue at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, an official with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet Friday afternoon.

The juvenile was walking in the area when the passenger of a red Toyota sedan with black wheels got out of the car, pointed a gun at the juvenile, and demanded all belongings be handed over, according to the tweet.

The male suspect was described as Hispanic, between 15 and 17 years old and was last seen wearing a yellow shirt and black plants, the official said.

The driver was described as a Hispanic male, possibly a teenager, and a Hispanic female passenger was also in the vehicle.
