DENVER — As the winds pick up out of the west, we are in for a pretty big 24-hour change. We’ll see highs in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees across the Denver metro area and that’s about 20 degrees warmer than yesterday.
Plenty of sunshine is expected, but strong winds will be present in the mountains and foothills. A High Wind Warning is in effect until 5 p.m. for gusts of 50-75 mph for areas above 7,000 feet along and west of I-25.
Thursday will be dry, but clouds will increase again ahead of the next storm system. Highs will be in the 30s in the mountains and 40s to low 50s on the plains.
Light snow will develop from west to east on Friday and light snow is expected over the weekend along with colder temperatures.
