A train crash involving a pedestrian in Old Town Fort Collins will delay Poudre School district buses “by at least an hour,” district officials notified parents Friday afternoon.
The crash occurred shortly after 3 p.m. near the intersection of Mason and Mulberry streets. First responders have closed multiple streets in the vicinity of the crash and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway tracks that run along Mason and Vine Drive.
PSD, in a voicemail sent to district parents, said it was scrambling to get additional buses and those ending early routes to help with after-school drop-off. However, parents can expect their children’s arrival home to be delayed due to traffic impacts related to the crash.
