Colorado Gov. Jared Polis will provide an update on the state’s coronavirus response at about 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Polis’s update will come one week after the state’s “safer-at-home” order began. Last week, elective surgeries could resume, retail stores could reopen and select personal services could resume, all under strict guidance.
Beginning Monday, offices and other workplaces could resume in-person work at a maximum of 50% capacity. Telecommuting is still the recommendation, Polis said, and businesses should limit in-person work as much as possible.
This new phase in the coronavirus response is about finding a sustainable way to live with the coronavirus, Polis said.
In the “safer-at-home” phase, which is expected to last through May, Polis has said wearing masks when out in public will be important for stopping the spread of the virus.

On Sunday, Larimer County’s health department issued a public health order requiring all employees and customers to wear face coverings when entering and inside businesses within the county to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
“Our businesses have done a great job keeping their employees in face coverings to protect customers,” Larimer County’s public health director Tom Gonzales said in a news release. “But we need our customers to also be protecting the employees. Face coverings are not perfect, but paired with social distancing, we know they slow the spread of COVID-19.”
