As counties move to harsher restrictions amid a COVID-19 surge, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis will provide an update on the state’s response Tuesday afternoon.
The update will come via a livestreamed news conference with Polis and Dr. Rachel Herlihy, the state’s top epidemiologist, around 12:30 p.m., according to a news release from the governor’s office.
The livestreamed news conference will be posted in this story once it begins.
Polis will speak as Larimer County prepares to enter Level Red on Colorado’s COVID-19 dial Tuesday. The new restrictions under Level Red will take effect at 5 p.m. and include a closure of indoor dining, decreased capacity in offices and the cancellation of any personal gatherings and indoor entertainment events.
Larimer County is one of roughly 20 Colorado counties moved to Level Red in the past week.
