PARKER, Colo. — The Cottonwood Drive Widening Project is officially underway in Parker.
The $11 million project will widen the existing road between Cottonwood Way and Jordan Road from two lanes to four lanes.
The Town of Parker also plans to renovate the 40-year-old bridge that spans the Cherry Creek Trail, and add another bridge right next to the old one to accommodate more traffic from the additional lanes.
The project also includes installing a new traffic signal at the intersection of Cottonwood Drive and Apache Plume Drive.
During construction, the Cottonwood Trailhead parking lot will be closed .
The project will continue through the end of 2021.
