DENVER — The long stretch of mild weather continues! It will be a cool and windy morning along the Front Range, with gusts over 30 mph near Castle Rock, Kiowa and east toward the airport.
Temperatures will start off in the 20s this morning, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s this afternoon under a partly sunny sky. Winds with gusts near 30 mph are expected throughout the afternoon.
The mountains will pick up more snow starting Thursday night and will continue through Friday. A winter storm warning has been issued for the southwestern mountains. More than a foot of snow is possible between this afternoon and Friday night.
This storm will be a dry one for the Denver metro area, but we may see a few light rain/snow showers across the northeastern plains tomorrow. Winds will be the bigger issue. We will see gusts near 70 mph on Friday across northeastern Colorado. Highs will stay in the low to mid 50s tomorrow afternoon.
Very mild if you’re heading downtown for the National Western Stock Show. It will be calmer, mostly sunny and mild on Saturday and Sunday.
